Now you will need to determine which variation you have. Variations are determined by stock type.
Step 2: Determine the Variation of model type
Select one of the following choices
The barrel is 22"long, there is no checkering, the stock is straight and number on tang is lower than ~20,000 -This is the early variation from 1905 through 1909 with a straight-grip stock. -- If you have a straight grip stock you have the early 'Standard Model 1905' version. |
The barrel is 22"long, there is no checkering, the stock is pistol-grip and number on tang is higher than ~20,000 -This is the later variation made after 1909 with a pistol-grip stock. -- If you have a pistol grip stock you have the later 'Standard Model 1905' version. |
