Variations of the Models

You have determined the model of your Winchester.  Now you will need to determine if you have a standard or deluxe version.   Both Standard and Deluxe versions were produced in the second and third models.

Select one of the following choices

bulletThe stock is straight with no checkering and no take-down screw-- You have the Standard version.
bulletYour gun dissembles by unscrewing the takedown screw on the side of the receiver.  The screw can either be a lever (earlier version) or a round-headed screw with a slot..--You have the Take-down Model

  • If there are other extra features not mentioned, and they look original. Also consider other possible modifications to the original.-- You may have a factory "extra- option".  You may need to consult a professional appraiser to determine the value of your gun.
