Variations of the Models

You have now determined the model of your 1886 Winchester.  If you have a Sporting Rifle you will next need to determine if you have a standard or deluxe/fancy version, takedown, and/or lightweight.   Both Standard and Deluxe versions had lightweight models. If you have a Carbine, you might have a 'Trapper' version.
