Features of the Winchester  Model 1912 Shotgun

Standard Model 12

  • Take down in 12, 16, 20 or 28  gauge
  • Full, Modified or open cylinder choke
  • Full round barrel in lengths of 26", 28", 30", or 32"
  • Plain pistol- grip walnut stock
  • Grooved slide handle
  • Rib plain, solid, or vented
  • Butt Plate metal or black hardened plastic and flat
  • Built 1912-1963

Featherweight  Model 12

  • Much like the 'Standard' but with 'F' after the serial number and with a lightweight alloy trigger guard
  • Take down in 12, 16, 20 or 28  gauge
  • Full, Modified or open cylinder choke
  • Full round barrel in lengths of 26", 28", 30", or 32"
  • Plain pistol- grip walnut stock
  • Grooved slide handle
  • Butt Plate metal or black hardened plastic and flat
  • Built 1959-1962

Trap Model 12

  • Marked "TRAP" on the frame bottom
  • Take down in 12 gauge ONLY
  • Full choke
  • Solid or ventilated rib
  • Full round barrel in 30" length
  • Checkered and pistol- grip or straight fancy walnut stock
  • Checkered slide handle
  • Solid recoil pad
  • Built 1914-1963

Black Diamond Trap Model 12

  • Like the 'Trap' except has inlaid black ebony diamond on sides of the pistol-grip area of the stock
  • Marked "TRAP" on the frame bottom
  • Take down in 12 gauge ONLY
  • Full choke
  • Solid or ventilated rib
  • Full round barrel in 30" length
  • Checkered and pistol- grip or straight fancy walnut stock
  • Checkered slide handle
  • Solid recoil pad
  • Built 1914-1963

Skeet Model 12

  • Take down in 12, 16, 20 or 28  gauge
  • Skeet choke
  • Full round barrel in  26" length ONLY
  • Pistol- grip checkered, select walnut stock
  • Extended (longer) checkered slide handle
  • Solid or ventilated rib
  • Flat butt Plate metal early or black hardened plastic later
  • Built 1933-1963 (also to 1976)

Pigeon Model 12

  • Take down in 12, 16, 20 or 28  gauge
  • Receiver is sometimes engraved and with pigeon on the frame 
  • Breech Block is marked "Pigeon"
  • Full round barrel in lengths of 26", 28", 30", or 32"
  • Full, Modified or open cylinder choke
  • Checkered and oiled pistol- grip or straight fancy walnut stock
  • Checkered slide handle
  • Butt Plate flat in metal early and hardened black plastic later
  • Built 1914-1963
  • MANY special ordered so numerous variations possible

Tournament Model 12

  • Take down in 12  gauge ONLY
  • Full, Modified or open cylinder choke
  • Full round barrel in  30" length for 12  gauge ONLY
  • Checkered straight select walnut stock
  • Checkered SMALLER slide handle
  • Stamped "TOURN' in wood under flat butt plate
  • Built 1914-1963

Heavy Duck Model 12

  • Take down in 12, 16, 20 or 28  gauge
  • Full, Modified or open cylinder choke
  • Full round barrel in lengths of 30" or 32" ONLY
  • Plain pistol- grip walnut stock
  • Grooved slide handle
  • Rib plain, solid, or vented
  • Solid red 'Winchester' marked rubber recoil pad

Super Field Model 12

  • Takedown frame in 12 or 20 gauge

  • Matted rib on the barrel
  • Checkered pistol- grip fancy walnut stock

Riot Model 12

  • Barrel a choked cylinder (to shoot buckshot)

Trench Model 12

  • Fitted with barrel hand guard and bayonet lug
  • Take down in 12  gauge ONLY
  • Full round barrel in 20" length
  • Whole gun is 'Parkerized'
  • Plain pistol- grip walnut stock
  • Grooved slide handle
  • U.S. and ordinance bomb stamped on receiver
  • Butt Plate metal and flat
